OH man. I’m so glad you’re here. I’m told the “About me” page is the second most viewed page on a website so I’ll try to make this really good but honestly this is something I’m extremely bad at ha!
So for starters, I’m Brittany, Brit, B. Whichever you prefer. I was raised in small town Alberta, and just recently made the trek to the big city. Its been an adventure, and I’m loving ever second of it. I love my dog, and love all things openly, and with my whole heart.
I am a TRUE Capricorn, if you know, you know. I am a big believer that literally anything is possible. There is not a goal too high. I’m into all the woo-woo shit, crystals meditation manifestation, all that.
I swear way too much and believe that a smile can change someones day.
Am I done talking about myself yet?! Haha I am super open with literally everything in my life so if you’re interested in getting to know me more, I’d urge you to follow me along on instagram.
Ok, so you know a little about me. But I also think its important for me to tell you what photography means to me and how all this got started, so here goes.
My first memory of picking up a camera was when I was younger, me and 2 of my younger siblings store my moms disposable camera at Christmas time and decided to have little photo shoots. Y’all the photos were horrible. Then in junior high ( I went to a really really small school ) my class decided we wanted to create a school newsletter and I was – you guessed it – the photographer. And then in highschool + college, you remember those pink Coolpix cameras? Yup that was me toting it along to all the parties.
For as long as I can remember I’ve always been taking photos. My therapist would you its in response to watching my Nan loose her memories. I remember before we lost her, she struggled remembering most things, but I vividly remember her lighting up when we’d look at old albums together. And I guess I’ve never really thought of it that way, but the thought of ONE day my photo is in an album that your great grandkids are looking at while you look back and smile remembering the smells, and sounds of exactly what was going on in that photo. Well THAT, that is why I do what I do.
